Dubai Police Enhances Crime Prevention Through 'Residential Communities Security' Forum

Dubai Police General Headquarters, represented by the Crime Reduction Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, organised the "Residential Compounds Security" forum, with the participation of 160 representatives from real estate developers, joint property management companies and residential compound managers, alongside representatives of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency, the Dubai Land Department and the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, with the aim of strengthening the security partnership and developing the crime prevention system in residential compounds.

Dubai Police affirmed that the forum comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation with partners and unifying security efforts in support of achieving its strategic goal of consolidating Dubai's position as the safest city, through spreading security awareness, adopting international best practices, and leveraging smart systems and artificial intelligence technologies to reduce crime and raise levels of security and safety.

The forum featured a review of the preventive measures that contribute to strengthening community security, with emphasis on the important role of residential compound management in raising residents' awareness of the risks of electronic fraud crimes, through disseminating awareness messages and materials, sending periodic alerts about fake links, fraudulent calls and impersonation of official entities, and urging them not to share their personal or banking data with any untrusted party, and to report any fraud attempts through Dubai Police's official channels.

The forum also included an introductory presentation of the "Police Eye" service, which enables members of the community to report security observations and negative practices, thereby enhancing response speed and raising the level of community participation in supporting the security system.

The event featured an open discussion session in which participants discussed the key challenges and proposals related to the security of residential compounds, contributing to the development of joint working mechanisms and enhancing quality of life in the emirate.

At the conclusion of the forum, Dubai Police General Headquarters honoured a number of institutions, real estate developers, joint property management companies, security officers and security guards, in recognition of their contributions to supporting the security system and consolidating community partnership.
