Legal Seminar Discusses the Registration Regulation for Arbitrators and Experts at Ajman Arbitration Center for 2026

The legal seminar on the “Regulations for the Registration of Arbitrators and Experts at the Ajman Centre for Arbitration for 2026”, organised by the Centre, which is affiliated with the Ajman Chamber, in cooperation with the Higher Institute for Legal Training and the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal Professionals, discussed the latest developments in the regulations and the criteria and controls for registering arbitrators and experts, in a way that enhances knowledge of arbitration practice and supports the development of specialised legal competencies.

The seminar was attended, via video link, by Hindi Obaid Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of the Ajman Centre for Arbitration, together with a select group of specialists in the legal and arbitration fields and a number of experts in the related professional disciplines.

Hindi Al Matrooshi stressed the importance of the seminar in light of the growing role of arbitration as an effective means of settling commercial disputes quickly and flexibly, and the resulting need for arbitrators and experts with competence, experience and specialisation, in accordance with clear and objective criteria that keep pace with developments in the economic sector and the needs of the business community.

He explained that registration of arbitrators at the Ajman Centre for Arbitration is open to holders of expertise in any commercial, financial, engineering, accounting, legal or other technical and professional field.

Al Matrooshi said that updating the regulations and clarifying the mechanisms for their application is an important step in developing the arbitration system in the Emirate of Ajman and in providing a specialised base of competent and experienced arbitrators and experts, which strengthens confidence in dispute settlement procedures, supports a more stable and transparent business environment, and enhances the Emirate’s attractiveness for investment and business.

The seminar’s sessions covered an introduction to the regulations for the registration of arbitrators and experts and the frameworks and procedures they contain for the registration process, the criteria for classifying and selecting arbitrators and experts, and the mechanisms for renewing registration.

Participants exchanged knowledge and experience and raised questions on the registration, classification and renewal procedures, contributing to clarifying the provisions of the regulations and the mechanisms for applying them, and to strengthening the readiness of arbitrators and experts to meet their requirements.
