UN Crime Prevention Conference: Abu Dhabi Prosecution Participates
The Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution is taking part, with a delegation of several members of the Public Prosecution, in the Fifteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, hosted by the capital Abu Dhabi until 1 October 2026.
The Public Prosecution’s participation in this global forum, held under the theme “Accelerating crime prevention, criminal justice and the rule of law: protecting people and planet and achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the digital age”, comes as part of its keenness to keep pace with judicial and international developments, maintain an influential presence on global platforms, exchange expertise on the best advanced practices, and raise judicial performance to the highest standards.
Members of the Public Prosecution attended a specialised set of main sessions and interactive workshops, which focused on discussing the latest means and mechanisms for confronting emerging criminal patterns and comprehensively tackling cross-border crime and fraud cases linked to rapid digital development, in addition to reviewing practical frameworks for the responsible use of artificial intelligence and modern applications, in a way that ensures easier access to criminal justice and enhances the efficiency of the judicial system.
The sessions whose proceedings the members of the Public Prosecution followed witnessed discussions that deepen frameworks of international judicial cooperation, consolidate strategic partnerships and contribute to the exchange of advanced judicial knowledge in the fields of mutual legal assistance and law-enforcement mechanisms, in a way that strengthens the justice system and ensures the protection of society and the safeguarding of rights.
