Abu Dhabi, June 16 / WAM / Following the Federal Narcotics Prosecution's oversight, the National Anti-Narcotics Agency, in coordination with the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police and relevant law enforcement agencies, successfully thwarted a criminal scheme to promote narcotic substances within the country, apprehending several involved individuals and seizing large quantities of narcotics and psychoactive substances before they could be distributed.
The details of the case trace back to information received regarding narcotic substances hidden in a geographical location within one of the Emirates. Specialized teams initiated search and investigation operations, and after obtaining legal permissions, a security ambush was executed, resulting in the arrest of two members of the criminal organization while they attempted to transport a quantity of narcotics. They confessed to receiving promotion instructions from a main suspect residing outside the country who manages the criminal activity. Following further investigation and security monitoring of the site, a total of 11 suspects were apprehended who were under the main dealer and promoting narcotics in the country.
Subsequent arrest and search operations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ajman led to the apprehension of 10 additional suspects, along with various quantities of narcotics and psychoactive substances, in addition to discovering another storage site containing large amounts of marijuana, hash oil, and spice papers.
A team from the Federal Narcotics Prosecution has been formed to conduct investigations and take necessary legal actions, while the suspects and seized items have been presented to the relevant forensic laboratory.
The relevant authorities confirmed that this qualitative operation reflects the high readiness and integrated coordination between the Public Prosecution and security agencies in confronting organized criminal networks and taking stringent legal actions against those involved.
