The United Arab Emirates, represented by the Ministry of Interior, took part in the security session held as part of the UN Chiefs of Police Summit (UNCOPS) 2026 in New York, affirming that the wise leadership's future vision places advanced technology and artificial intelligence at the heart of government work, in order to protect local and global communities and expand international partnerships.
In its statement, the Ministry of Interior affirmed that it continues to implement proactive projects and initiatives in the fields of offender monitoring and victim protection, in order to counter the growing exploitation of digital technologies by cross-border criminal networks.
The Ministry also affirmed its continued support for the efforts of the United Nations Police through the deployment of modern technologies, noting that these efforts contribute to strengthening trust between peacekeeping forces and local communities, and to identifying operational needs that can be addressed using artificial intelligence tools, in order to enhance support for local police forces in the post-conflict phase.
In conclusion, the Ministry stated that achieving peace requires concerted international efforts, optimal use of modern technologies, the strengthening of global partnerships, and making emerging technologies a pillar supporting justice, peace and human security for future generations.
