23 Judges and Prosecutors Sworn in Before Mansour bin Zayed

Twenty-three new judges and members of the Public Prosecution took the legal oath before His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, marking the start of their duties within the Judicial Department — a step that strengthens the judicial and justice system and entrenches the rule of law.

During the oath-taking ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates, under His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, is keen to continue developing the judicial and justice system in a manner that strengthens the rule of law, entrenches prompt justice, and contributes to supporting the global competitiveness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and consolidating its integrated legislative and judicial infrastructure in support of the comprehensive development journey.

His Highness called on the new judges and members of the Public Prosecution to contribute effectively to entrenching the principles of justice and safeguarding the rule of law, to work on accelerating case-adjudication procedures, and to make use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence applications in developing performance, in a manner that ensures the protection of rights, the safeguarding of freedoms, and the delivery of distinguished judicial services characterized by efficiency, accuracy and speed.

For their part, the new judges and members of the Public Prosecution expressed their pride in being granted this precious trust, affirming their commitment to discharging the trust and bearing the responsibility of the message of justice with full integrity and sincerity, and to exerting their utmost efforts to apply the law and entrench the values of right and justice, in a manner that contributes to supporting the journey of development and prosperity the State is witnessing.

The legal oath-taking ceremony was attended by His Excellency Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department; His Excellency Counsellor Ali Mohammed Al Balushi, Attorney General of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi; and Counsellor Ali Al Shaer Al Dhaheri, Director of the Judicial Inspection Department.

The legal oath-taking ceremony is an essential condition for judges and members of the Public Prosecution to assume their duties, as the judge and the prosecutor commit to discharging their work with justice, integrity and respect for the laws — embodying the foremost guarantee of the independence and integrity of the judiciary. The joining of this cohort of judicial talent comes within ongoing efforts to strengthen human resources in the justice sector and to keep pace with the shift toward digital justice and the deployment of artificial intelligence in accelerating litigation and raising its efficiency.
